Heritage House Tours and Games


Stop by the Irving Heritage House at 303 South O'Connor for a Sunday afternoon of "Games and Tours" on Sunday, Oct. 2. A croquet set will be set up in the front yard and board games offered on the wide front porch between 3pm -5pm. Admission to the Heritage House, is free. Each visiting family will receive a complimentary book of Irving's history.

The Heritage House is a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark and was built in 1912 by C.P. Schulze for his bride Virginia. This prairie style home offered many of the modern conveniences and comfort for this young family. A playhouse was constructed from a chicken coop in the back yard and tours are offered there as well. Several toys belonging to the young Mary Schulze and her brother Charles can be viewed there.
