Heritage Society General Meeting May 2,
Heritage House at 6:45pm
Chris Wallace will conduct the final meeting of his term as President of the Irving Heritage Society on May 2. The organization will hold their general meeting on Thursday, May 2, at 303 South O’Connor. The meeting, including the election of the 2013-2014 officers, will begin at 6:45pm and will be followed by the installation of officers conducted by City Councilman Roy Santoscoy. The public is invited to attend and enjoy refreshments in the front yard of the Heritage House.
Built in 1912 by C.P. Schulze, brother of one of the co-founders of Irving, the Heritage House is one of the oldest homes in Irving. It was designated as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1986.
It is open for public tours on the first Sunday of each month
March-December from 3pm-5pm.
