IISD History

In the 1960’s the Board of Trustees of Irving Independent School District decided to name the elementary schools after people from the community of Irving. Existing schools were renamed. This practice continues today and has expanded to include some of the secondary campuses as well. Click on links below to learn a bit about each school’s namesake.
